Inspiration: Helmut Newton
I want to mention a talented, inspiring photographer at his death anniversary who combines fine art and fashion photographer together.
His name is Helmut Newton. He is one of the most influential photographers of the past years when art and fashion collide. Newton’s work was controversial, because he expressed the contradictions within all of us, and particularly within the women he photographed so beautifully: empowerment mixed with vulnerability. He walked on a fine thin between good taste and eroticism. Newton deepened our understanding of the ways in which beauty creates its own kind of power. On top of that, his compositions were brilliant and cinematic.
“Look, I’m not an intellectual – I just take pictures.” – Helmut Newton
Some highlights from his life:
- Helmut Newton (born Helmut Neustädter; 31 October 1920 – 23 January 2004) was a German-Australian photographer.
- Born in Berlin, lived in Australia, London, Paris and died in Hollywood,California. His ashes are buried in Berlin
- He shared his first joint exhibition in May 1953 with Wolfgang Sievers

If you have time watch 1988 documentary movie: Frames From The Edge: Helmut Newton. It is a great movie about his photography vision and his life.
Also I am adding some of his photographs here but do your self a favor and check out more of his work over the web.
